Way back in time, Maine lobsters were packed in wooden barrels, swathed in rockweed, and shipped via train to customers in Boston and New York. Today millions of pounds of Maine lobster leave the state via refrigerated trucks. Thermo King Northeast is New England’s premier provider of transport refrigeration and climate control solutions and a Maine Lobstermen’s Association (MLA) business member.

The company specializes in the sales, service, and installation of refrigeration units for trucks, trailers, vans, and other transport vehicles.
“We provide and maintain transport refrigeration systems that keep live and processed seafood at optimal temperatures during transit. Whether it’s moving product from dock to distributor or direct to restaurants and retailers, Thermo King helps preserve the freshness, quality, and reputation of every catch,” Eddie Sullivan, Thermo King sales manager, said.
Thermo King Northeast is part of DeVivo Companies, a regional transportation services group. It provides 24/7 emergency service and mobile repair across much of New England as well as preventive maintenance programs to keep trucks running reliably throughout the seasons.
“We joined the MLA to better connect with the people and businesses of the lobster industry. Supporting local working waterfronts is part of our mission, and we’re proud to stand with an organization that advocates tirelessly for the future of Maine’s fishermen, families, and coastal communities,” Sullivan said.
